Insulated Non Sparking Tools

Eliminate the risk of dangerous sparks

Botou is proud to introduce a new line of non-sparking and non-magnetic insulated hand tools and tool kits. These additions to Botou's line of insulated hand tools are made of special aluminum bronze and copper beryllium alloys. Safe for use in areas where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors, liquids, dust or residues may be present.

These non-sparking tools are specifically designed to eliminate the risk of sparking in locations where explosive atmospheres may exist.

Our safety tools are forged to provide the highest quality hand tools available. These corrosion resistant tools are suitable for use in shipyards, laboratories, paper and pulp mills, as well as the pharmaceutical, food manufacturing and wine industries.

Non-Sparking ToolsEach non-sparking/non-magnetic hand tool is rated for exposure up to 1000 VAC and tested for insulation at 10,000 VAC, meeting or exceeding ASTM 1505-07 and IEC 900 standards. These tools are required for compliance with OSHA 1910.333 (c)(2) and NFPA, and also meet CSA-2462 standards.

Botou's new line of non-sparking/non-magnetic hand tools feature the same high-impact insulation as our traditional full line of insulated hand tools. The insulation is flame retardant and comes in two colors (blue and yellow), making inspection easier and increasing overall safety. If a yellow base layer is present, the tool may no longer be properly insulated and should be considered for replacement and discontinued.

Suitable applications include industries that require non-sparking safety tools. The non-magnetic nature of these alloys also makes them ideal for use in special machinery with powerful magnets, such as MRI machines, military demining and explosives.

Insulated Non Sparking Tools

Each insulated hand tool is rated for exposure up to 1000VAC and tested for insulation at 10,000VAC. These tools meet or exceed ASTM 1505-07 and IEC 900 standards for insulated hand tools. These tools are required for compliance with OSHA 1910.333 (c)(2) and NFPA 70E 2009.

The insulation used is impact resistant and flame retardant. Two-color insulation makes inspection easier, which increases overall safety. If a yellow underlay is present, the tool may no longer be properly insulated and should be considered for replacement and discontinued.
